I was just sitting down drinking tea (not) and reading Elle when I found this interesting page called Power Pairs, I think. (: Anywho, it says mascara layered with translucent powder will give you "Va Va Voom Lashes" and i'd actually been thinking about my new Maybelline The Rocket and how its not very volumizing, as it is lengthening. So, I thought "Why not?" (:
Oh, and the second picture is the result(: I'm happy and I'm planning on using my old mascara tube, putting baby powder in it and using that after my first coat of mascara.
Disclaimer: Pictures are with flash; and the result is 2 coats mascara, one coat powder in between; I didn't have translucent powder (:
I have another NOTD for you(: Yay !
There supposed to be flowers but they aren't very flower like which is actually okay because I just like the way they look(: I was thinking if I had more to each nail it could look like polish splats! (:
I know I just posted something like 20 minutes ago but I got another idea for a post. (:
I thought'd it'd be really cool to make a makeup collection post now so by September I can see how much my collection has grown. I'm calling this a mini makeup storage and collection because I don't have a lot of makeup.
I will tell you that I used to have tons but I found that I didn't use at all so I gave it away. And now this is what I'm left with(:
Hey everyone(: I don't know why but I thought it'd be interesting to do a before and after post of me before makeup, wearing only foundation, and full makeup. (: Enjoy
First, I'm not wearing any makeup at all.
Then, I applied sunscreen and foundation.
Lastly, I applied 2 mascaras and tightlined.
And Voila !
Disclaimer: I used flash on all pictures(: (not sure if this is a disclaimer but yeah)

Heeey guys! I just went to Walgreens so I'll be doing another haul (: I would've waited on the first one if I knew I was gonna buy more stuff but I didn't so here it is: (its only 2 things)
So the first thing I bought , which I've been wanting SO BAD is the Maybelline The Rocket and I'm so happy! I LOVE<3 it! It's definetely the best mascara I've ever tried! I love the length it gives my lashes! Review coming soon!
And lastly, I got the Revlon lip gloss (sorry, I totally forgot the name) but the packaging is a clear stick with a black quilted like effect top, love it! It's not too sticky but its not to thin! Plus it lasted longer than my other lip glosses, for $7.49, I think that's great!
Hiiii guys! Today, I got $60 from my mommy, thanks mom, for the mall. (: So here is a little haul
Okay, so you know that dress I took a picture in last week. Well I went back to Wet Seal (not hollister) and found it! Yay! So I bought that and after tax it was a little less than $30.
Then, at B&BW I bought the 3/$10 deal with the Paris Amour travel set with the spray, lotion and body wash. (: I also bought a new hand sanitizer in vanilla berry sorbet (so yummy!)
At Body Shop (my first time there, YAY!) I bought two things. First I bought the Extra Virgin Minerals Cream Foundation in the shade 405 golden caramel (it was like $25) and this CUTE little grapefruit lip butter! I'm so LOVING it! Its so teeny tiny and cute and delicious and smells JUST LIKE grapefruit. <3 for $5. Hopefully I can get more when I come back to the Body Shop!
So that's my little haul(: And my first haul on this blog<3
I hate to say it but I'm kind of out of post ideas. :( I just decided to do a review on the first mascara I've ever worn: Great Lash.
I wear it to school, when I do wear mascara, and so far I've gotten 2 compliments(: I think I would've got more if I didn't wear glasses because it's kind of hard to let my lashes extend to their full length (they are pretty long). So they actually lean on the lens of my glasses. But back to the review.
First, I'll talk about the formula and feel of this mascara on your lashes. The mascara isn't runny to me, but its not thick either. I'd definetely say its more runny than thick but it's not something that's too thin so I like that. After 3 months you might want to throw it away though because, your supposed to through mascara out after 3 months and because this mascara, like others, can dry out. When I apply this mascara it doesn't feel heavy at all and I like that. I wear 3 coats at the most, and it doesn't even feel like anything is on my lashes. The downfall is this mascara dries really hard on the lashes and makes them brittle and stiff. I really think Maybelline has really good mascaras for "plush" lashes and they could definetely improve that in this mascara but hey- its pretty inexpensive so they did a good job.
Now, on to length, volume, etc. After one coat this mascara looks okay. It really elongates (is that a word? If so how do you spell it? Haha) my lashes. They are still pretty thin after one coat so it doesn't really give much depth. After two coats, it starts to build up at the base of the lashes and give a little depth. At 3 coats I really like the volume I get with this mascara, its pretty basic.
Okay, now about flakes, clumps, and so on. I took pictures (below) of my lashes with 3 coats on so you can decide if this mascara is too clumpy or good for you because everyone has different opinions. Maybe you want the spider lash, or the falsies effect. I think this mascara is capable of both looks with no clumps. In my opinion in the picture below my mascara isn't clumpy but you may disagree and that's okay. I did get flakes today but I took a nap in the mascara so that may be why. The flakes weren't that big but if flakes annoy you, you might have some problems with this mascara.
The packaging of this mascara is pretty simple. A basic mascara tube (green top, pink base) and it has a label sticker on it. I've seen different packaging thought so don't just look for green and pink. The wand is also pretty basic looking. It doesn't have an unsual shape or anything, just normal as you can see in the pic below. A lot of people talk about the stoppers on the mascara bottle so I thought i'd talk about this one. I have to be honest, as much as I love this mascara the stopper sucks. The rim of the bottle is thin so a lot of mascara comes on the brush and I have to scrape it on the side to avoid too much mascara, especially for my bottom lashes.
So would I reccomend this mascara? I would. I reccomed Great Lash to people just starting out with makeup because its a nice, simple, basic mascara. If you've already tried high end mascaras and your looking for a cheaper alternative I do reccomend Maybelline mascaras but this one may not be what you want. This mascara is only like 6 dollars so i'd just try it out and see for yourself(:
At my school its college week so we'll be doing college related things all week, like pep assemblies, listening to guest speakers, career day and more. Each hallway and grade has a college. My 8th grade hallway is Harvard so our color is crimson. I dont really have any crimson so i'm gonna buy a Harvard shirt, my schools selling. But anyway i'l be doing a beauty agenda sometime this week(:
So i didn't really have crimson nail polish but i have this sort of rose gold bronzey color that could pass for crimson and i just got a free Orly Nail Polish at Sally Beauty (spend $3 or more). (: So i used two coats of Orly Liquid Vinyl and one coat of Love&Beauty Glitter Polish. On the accent nail is ELF Golden Goddess(:
Last week, i also experimented with orly using two coats of Liquid Vinyl and sponged Love&Beauty Glitter polishes on the tips(:
And i just decided to take a picture of my lashes, not sure why but i just thought they looked really good that day so i guess i'll include that too(: I started doing my bottom eye lashes again and i LOVE<3 the way it looks. My next mascara on the top of my wishlist is Maybelline The Rocket
So monday, i went to the mall with Sabrinna. I cant remember the store this dress is from sadly, but i really like it. Its a black fitted skirt with a layered silky type sheer top. (:
When i tried it on, i thought of 8th grade graduation and how perfect it'd be. So this is my first possibility for my graduation, which is awhile aways from now.
If your wondering my graduation isn't until June but I like to prepare early. Also, I haven't been posting because I've had 0 ideas on posts. I couldn't even find inspiration on Pinterest or Beautylish. :(
EDIT: It was Hollister, i think (:
It's been a week since my last nail update so i decided to update again. Here are my nails after doing the dishes (which is why they look so icky). I'm really hoping to have nails like polished perfection before september!
