Must-Try Nail Art

Here are different nail designs to try(: Organized by what things you might have ( example: if you have only 1-3 colors or a striper )

1-3 Nail Polishes

1. Cupcake Nail Art - Just paint the bottom third of the nail desired color for the cupcake base, use another color for a blob of frosting on the second third of the nail and add a cherry on top! Add your own touches like sprinkles or stripes(:

2. Solid Mani - Just paint all your nails one color(:

3. Accent Nail - Paint every nail one color except the ring finger (or desired color) and paint that finger a different color(:

4-10 Nail Polishes

1. Animal Nail Art - You can make lots of cute simple animals on your nails using a variety of colors and all you need is polish and a toothpick or dotting tool(:

Striping or Dotting Tools-

1. Stripes - With just a striper you can create many simple but sophisticated nail designs like plaid(:

2. Polka Dots - There are a lot of designs possible with a dotting tool like bubbles, circles, hearts, etc. Get creative(:

3. Animal Prints - I've seen zebra nails, cheetah nails, tiger nails and even giraffe print nails. Try youtube and pinterest for simple tutorials(:

Sponge or Disposable Makeup Applicator

1. If you haven't tried gradient yet you should definetely give it a go! Its pretty simple And nailasaurus has a tutorial for it on her blog(:

Glitter or Glitter Polish

1. DIY glitter polish - this isn't really a nail art idea but its a fun diy to try. Just pour glitter into a clear polish(: Try youtube for tutorials

2. Glitter over black polish - If you have glitter nail polish it really pops over solid black polish(:

Sharpie(s)

1. Sharpie Nail Art - i found this on Pinterest! Its so cool, just draw on your polished nails with sharpie and if you mess up it rubs off with alchohol, until you apply a topcoat. (:

Simple Eye Shadow Look

I was on pinterest again, of course, and i found a pictorial i liked so i decided to re-create it. I used shimmery shadows but the pictorial used matte so our looks are different(:

So here is the original and my re-creation(:

Sorry my pictures have odd lighting and angles but i wanted to do this quick, before bed. (:

So what i did first was apply a shimmery gold all over my lid with a basic shadow brush. Then i used the other side of the brush to apply a slightly darker shade in my outer v and blend. Next i applied black pencil liner, and i did this sloppy since it will just be blended. And to blend it i used an Avon eyeliner pencil smudger-thingy (the name rubbed off). Lastly i applied a couple coats of mascara(: I was thinking about adding liquid liner and wearing this makeup to my concert tomorrow.

PS. Look out for a Concert Beauty Agenda tomorrow(;

Nail Update(:

Last time i did a nail update was 10 days ago so i'm going to do another. Beware, my nails actually are shorter and quite nubby now. :( Sad Face !

Excuse my dry looking nails and bad cuticles, i just got out of the shower(:

I've been planning on taking hair and nail supplements for months now but i keep procrastinating. They are huge, if you've ever seen them. Plus they taste terrible. I tried taking them with food, soda or plain water but they still have that after-taste :( So hopefully i'll start taking them again soon

Mary Kay Moisture Mask

So I just tried the Mary Kay Moisture Mask Formula 1 and i wanted to post a little review/rave/first impression. (:

The mask comes in a 4 oz. white bottle with a pink lid. The product itself has a slight pink tint but when i put it on my face, it wasn't very obvious.

Basically, all i did was wash my face, pat dry, and apply. The instructions on the bottle say it can be used as mask or scrub but i just used it as a mask. I did as the instructions said, apply generous amount onto clean skin, leave for 10 minutes, and remove with warm, wet facial cloth.

My skin felt amazing afterwards! I cant stop touching my face. I have dry to normal skin and this made it feel smooth. I should have took a before and after picture but i didn't so i cant really talk about what it did for the appearance of my skin. I think it looks the same, but feels much better!

It claims  "Moisture Rich Mask, a rich formula, gently exfoliates dead surface cells as it hydrates and moisturizes the skin." I definetely think those claims were reasonable. It did just what it claims. My skin does feel more hydrated and when i applied it, i did feel it exfoliating. (:

All in all, i'm so glad i tried this product. It is definetely worth the money (i got it for free so i'm not sure how much it cost). I reccomend this to anyone with dry to normal skin, especially in winter. This is now my favorite skincare product for winter(:

EOS First Impression

So today i went to Target with my grandma and i have a few dollars left over from the movies yesterday so I bought 2 EOS Lip Balms in Strawberry Sorbet and Rasberry Pomegranete.

Packaging was okay, pretty basic lip balm packaging. However the overall appearance of the lip balm itself is brilliant. No matter the quality of the balm, people would still buy it because of its sphere shape. I also love the bright colors of the sphere. So as far as appearance, i'd buy it again or get new flavors.

Strawberry Sorbet- When i first smelled the balm, i could smell the strawberry good so that wasnt really a problem here. When i put it on my lips for the first time it did taste like strawberries so thats good. I'm not sure if i'd be able to guess strawberry if it were on my lips without my knowing of though. As far as flavor and scent, i'd prefer the flavor/scent of Lip Smackers or something of the sort.

Rasberry Pom.- When i tried the balm for the first time, i couldn't pick up rasberry or pom. at all. It just smelled waxy. When i smell it right now i get a slight fruity scent but not much, so if you dont like too much scent, it'd be good for you. However i prefer slightly more obvious scents. On my lips i didnt taste it either. So for flavor/scent i wasn't pleasantly surprised.

The texture of the balm was pretty waxy on the first use. I used it several more times and i think i'm getting used to it, since its different than any other lip balm i've tried. It does feel pretty soft though and very smooth. So for texture i think its just okay.

On the first use i didnt feel the balm softening my lips or any type of "medicated balm" feel. It was sort of just there. Like i said, a bit waxy, it felt like it just sat on my lips. A few minutes later it seeped in and my lips were a little softer than before but still kind of dry. When i re-applyed I got the same results but with a little bit softer lips than the last time. After applying 3 times my lips are soft! I used a little carmex and then strawberry sorbet and it worked even better which is great! So for softening i think its great over time and better with a medicated balm!

At Target each lip balm cost $3. First, i'll just say i was a little shocked at the price. I thought they were way more expensive, since i've never seen them in stores, like $5 each. I dont think $3 is too much to pay as long as the quality is good and so far, so good. So as far as price, i'd buy more!
